Arab Strap es un dúo escocés formado por Aidan Moffat y Malcolm Middleton: 10 años de carrera, entre el 1995 y el 2006, seis álbumes de estudio y una infinidad de colaboraciones con lo más granado de la escena indie-pop británica e internacional.
Las letras sobre amores sórdidos, descarnadas escenas de sexo y melancólicas aunque sincera vivencias personales, regadas por el alcohol, son el sello distintivo del grupo; que sin embargo son apoyadas por un óptimo sonido, que oscila entre baladas electroacústicas y la presenica cada vez más pronunciada de sonidos electrónicos. Love Detective, del magnífico álbum The Red Thread, es una prueba irrefutable del atractivo de esta banda.
